The artists painted by Monique

Rav Chalom Benizri
Guila Benizri Serfaty
Aviel Chalom Serfaty

A first for the city of Modiin! The arrival of a duo of artists of all kinds...

In principle, we always speak of Father and Son, but today we have a Father and a Daughter. The father is a Rav, a Rabbi of a Sephardic community in Brussels, Belgium.

In his spare moments, and when his faithful followers and family gave him a little time, he devoted himself to the service of Art.

A passion that lay deep within his soul and that he expressed through his paintings, his stained glass windows, his writing, his jewelry.

You can discover it gradually by "scrolling" through the Hallel website.

Its main theme and subject is the letter YUD, the tenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which par excellence represents the "Jew." Indeed, Rabbi Shalom Benizri was one of the first to establish the connection, saying: "I am a Jew above all else!"

The attitude and behavior of the father determine the child, it is said... , Guila, the third child in the family, was able to capture all the artistic sense of her father and also developed, in her own way, her own writing of Art.

While raising a family and managing a business and a house, she managed, with the help of her husband Meïr, to create an artistic corner to develop her own painting by bringing an original technique of collage on canvas.

His paintings invite us to enter and discover the wonders of Nature imbued with Judaica.

These two artists have one thing in common: their discretion and humility; they deserve to be known!
